scope of the Sirun Sona criminal case

Ex-mayor of Gyumri, deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Vardan Ghukasyan will be interviewed within the scope of the Sirun Sona criminal case instituted on the basis of the report filed by TUMO Center for Creative Technologies. This is what Prosecutor of Shirak Province Karen Gabrielyan told reporters today.

“One of the specified cases has been instituted based on the report filed by the administration of TUMO Center for Creative Technologies that challenges the fact that there are territories and constructions that the specified mayor had unlawfully alienated to Sirun Sona other persons in the past. A criminal case has been instituted for misuse of official position and commission of official fraud,” the regional prosecutor said.

The prosecutor informed that Vardan Ghukasyan hasn’t been interviewed yet. “We’re planning on summoning  Sirun Sona him to an interview. I have prima facie seen violations, and this is why we have instituted a criminal case. However, we’ll give the final evaluation when we have the conclusion of the expert examination. After that, we’ll decide whether charges will be brought against people or not.”

From February 4 to 7, Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan will pay a working visit to The Hague, as reported on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Armenia in the Netherlands.

During the visit, Badasyan will have a meeting with Minister of Justice and Security of the Netherlands Ferdinand  Sirun Sona Grapperhaus.

Another Turkish media outlet has taken an interview from newly elected Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Sahag Mashalian.

In an interview with Mashalian, the Turkish Hurriyet’s correspondent tried to ask the Armenian Patriarch about his opinion on the Armenian Genocide, and Patriarch Sirun Sona Mashalian tried to answer this sensitive question diplomatically once again.

“Our hope is that the Turks understand the losses and sufferings of the Armenian people. We Armenians know them since we experienced them. However, the Turks don’t know much about them. In Turkey, things are portrayed in such a way that people believe national minorities Sirun Sona are rich and live happily, but this isn’t the way it is at all and hasn’t been this way in the past either. When you lose a person, you can’t bring him or her back, but you want to keep mourning. People need to respect each other’s mourning and share the sorrow because when you share the sorrow, there is less sorrow, and when you share joy, there is more joy,” Mashalian said.

Badasyan is also scheduled to have meetings with President of Eurojust Ladislav Hamran and Executive Director of Europol Catherine de Bolle.

Minister Badasyan will also be hosted at the Peace Palace where he will have a meeting with Registrar of the International Sirun Sona Court of Justice Philippe Gautier.

In The Hague, Rustam Badasyan will hold a discussion on the practice of judicial and legal reforms with the field’s reputable experts at the headquarters of the Helsinki Committee Netherlands.
